It's us. The Craig family. No, you don't know us yet. In fact, if you saw us on the street there would be nothing about us to pick us out from the rest of the crowd. We are an ordinary family. A mom, a dad, and two boys - Bubba and Peanut. We live in an unremarkable home in an average American town. Our lawn isn't always mowed because we sometimes get too busy. And our house isn't always clean. In fact, sometimes it's a disaster. Like I said, we're an ordinary family. Like you.
Sometimes I wonder why I am starting this blog. Will anyone read it? I'm writing this blog for the families like us, who are starting out in a new educational adventure, hoping for something more for their kids.
In case you were wondering, we are a Christian family. My husband and I met at church seventeen years ago and we still attend that church. We chose to homeschool because we feel this is where God wants our family right now. In the future, He may want us in public school or in a Christian school, and we plan to be there if that's where He wants us.
We've had only two days of homeschool so far, and it's been great. Of course there have been times I wanted to pull my hair out. But that happens when there are two very active boys in a family. The boys have loved schooling at home for the past two days. Hopefully this trend will continue. Come along with us on this journey as we learn about homeschooling and share in our adventures.
